Dr. Gohel is Senior Consultant Nephrologist and Kidney Transplant Specialist having experience of 15 years in Nephrology. He is a DNB teacher having more than 10 years of teaching experience in Nephrology. Dr. Gohel has experience of more than 1200 kidney transplantations including but not limited to Live donor transplantation, deceased donor (cadaver) transplantation, ABO incompatible transplantation, Swap transplantation (Donor Exchange transplantation) etc.

Experience & Expertise

  • Hemodialysis having experience of more than 10,00,000 hemodialysis sessions.

  • Having more than 10000 dialysis catheters insertions including more than 5000 tunneled dialysis catheters (perm-cath / permanent catheter) insertions

  • Having expertise in all forms of peritoneal dialysis (PD) like CAPD /NIPD /Hybrid PD etc).

  • Having more than 5000 real time ultrasound guided renal biopsy experience including transplant kidney biopsy

  • He has > 20 publications to his credit including 6 as first or second author.

  • He delivered more than 50 guest lectures at various state and national level platforms. He is also engaged in various epidemiological activities like CKD registry of India, SEEK project with USA, various kidney disease detection camps as well as public awareness programmes.

  • Dr. Gohel is also engaged as PI or Co-PI in pharmaceutical research with many renowned pharmas like BMS Pharmaceuticals, Celtic Therapeutics, Reliance Life sciences, Cadila Health care, Intas pharmaceuticals etc.
